We work primarily in the areas of Category Development, Category Management and Shopper Marketing.

We create customised training based on identified needs or business issues, incorporating (if relevant) any specific areas of interest.

We can provide coaching, mentoring and on-the-job training as well as classic classroom training. Along with one of our partners, we are able to create e-training that provides a cost-effective solution that will embed classroom training.

Our Expertise

The Big River Academy team has many years of experience designing face-to-face learning events. We are recognised as offering great mentoring and one-to-one training. We have also embraced new learning techniques as they have become available, and consider ourselves expert at incorporating e-learning where it supports workshops or for remote learning. We are constantly updating our materials with best practice and up-to-date case studies.


Open Workshops

As a top-up to existing training or as a cost-effective solution, we also run open training days specifically targeted at up-skilling an individual.

We currently offer Open Workshops covering two areas:

  • Shopper Marketing
  • Category Development.

There are different learning styles which can be optimised where the plenary output can be put into practice

  • as soon as possible
  • on real-life scenarios and
  • where the language and landscape reflect the reality that the delegates return to.

Open workshops give the delegates the opportunity to network with other practitioners and offer an enjoyable way to hone skills. Delegates will return to work with all relevant training materials.
